Ing. Jan Brůha, Ph.D. (Economic Research Director, Czech National Bank)

Jan Brůha currently serves as the director of the economic research Economic Research Division, Monetary Department of the Czech National Bank. Before he worked at various positions at the Czech National Bank and he spent several stays at the European Central Bank. Prior joining the Czech National Bank, he was affiliated with the Charles University.  

He completed his Ph.D. in Econometrics at the University of Economic in Prague and Ph.D. in Economics at CERGE-EI.

His research interests include Bayesian econometrics, macroeconomic modelling and monetary economics. His contributions have been published in journal such as Economic Modelling, Journal of Financial Stability or Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control.
